Batteries Not Included

Quadruple A batteries, to be exact.

According to J, these are hard to come by (even in the DIY store??). To be fair, I haven't gone to the store to actually check...maybe tomorrow.  The point of this entry is to just tell the blog universe that I am still alive, just stylus-less which means I am very behind on my doodling.

In other news, I am experiencing some changes at work and (I hate to admit it) have been quite anxious the past days.  My internal batteries aren't doing so well either, let's just say.  As always though, Papa G is able to get through - this time by way of my stumbling upon my friend Jill's recent blog entry, where she shares her own worrywart ways and quiets her anxiety with Jeremiah 29:11, "I have plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future".  This is not the first time I have found solace in Jill's words (the first time was in a BBM she sent me - admittedly a more direct way of consoling than this happenstance incident of me visiting her blog, but just as effective!).  You can visit her blog here.

I am hopeful that things will turn out well at work and am just working on keeping my attitude positive and open.  As for my stylus battery, if all else fails, I will scan my notebook doodles!

Extra Nuggets, Please:
- Can't wait for the next Game of Thrones episode!  After the Red Wedding, I am so eager to see how the TV series unfolds (as compared to the books).  Watched the reaction videos too - I'm pretty sure I was one of those people who had their hands to their mouths (horrified and all that). Still so cut up over Grey Wind!
- My Japonesque palette has arrived! I am thinking of setting aside my Independence Day holiday to do my project - mash up lipstick (sob) and transfer them to my kit.  We'll see how that goes.
- Spent the past weekend hanging out with my brother who was in town from Singapore. We finally tried Slappycakes! Pancake consistency was much better than IHOP, but I would still go back to Pancake House, really.
